Library Cards:
Residents of the Villisca Community School's District and Montgomery County are eligible to receive library services at no charge. All residents of Iowa communities that participate in the Open Access program will given the full borrowing privileges as Villisca residents.
For Parents:
Parents are responsible for what the children check out, and they are responsible for their returns, and fines.
Confidentiality Policy:
The Villisca Public Library recognizes that the circulation records of this library are confidential.
Borrowing Privileges:
Books, periodicals, and audiobooks/cassettes and CD are loaned for 2 weeks. Videos and DVD are loaned for 2 days. They can be renewed two times.
Returning Materials:
Material must be either returned or renewed by due date. If the library is closed at that time, you may leave material in book return by the alley.
Holds:
Any book can be put on holds. We will call you when the book comes, and you will have two days to pick up the book.
Interlibrary Loan:
If you have an book that we don't have at our library, we will request the book from another library in Iowa. All we ask of you is $1.00 for return postage.
Overdue, Lost, Damaged Materials
Overdue books, periodicals and Audios will be fined $.20 per day per item. Videos and DVD's will be fined $1.00 per day per item.
